#JimBanks enduring legacy will be as a gutless, yellow fronted-and-bellied coward talking shit to a dude burnt by a closing elevator. In the #Alpha world he aspires to project, his #Beta cowardice streak runs down his leg in a #yellow streak. This pussy is all yours, #Indiana. #FightHim and see.
I can’t shake a sense of dread. I just know something terrible is going to result from the dismantling of our national security and medical apparatus. The only questions are what and when.
“banality of evil” doesn’t mean unoriginality it means the commonplace everyday ways that people bury their heads in the sand and shut their ears when people are in trouble or when their actions hurt the planet. A Jewish writer coined the phrase in 1962 after listening to the excuses of nazis
It’s like how we all know that plastic kills the planet but we still drink bottled water. That chocolate is produced unethically but we have a “buy chocolate” holiday. That we’re bombing unarmed middle eastern children for oil but we still salute the troops.
for example my senator doesn’t give a shit if children are neglected or women die in childbirth he just wants there to be more White Babies running around.
The "banality of evil"was coined by Hannah Arendt, a Jewish author & historian, who fled Nazi Germany in 1933. She used the term when she attended Nazi Adolf Eichmann’s trial in Jerusalem in 1961. We studied her & WWII in 🇨🇦 as part of our high school history classes,as did our children #LestWeForget
Hannah Arendt coined the term about Nazis. My interpretation is that evil is often done by many “everyday people” to whom a broken society provides the power to behave in ways that were formerly unacceptable. Had a catalyst not been present, these people would probably would have had normal lives.
Evil isn’t original IMO It’s the same playbook cycling throughout history. Demonize and marginalize a group; convince a majority that that group is the cause of their problems, encourage violence against them, then kill them. Then move on to the next group, because this cycle is all you have.
Exactly. My interpretation was that we see evil as the big scary monster coming down the street instead of the everyday acceptance of evil from people like you or me being the more insidious prevalent problem. There is no Hitler without the acceptance of Germany's citizens.
Maybe I need to label all my responses with

Relax people. I’m making fun of my own limited vocabulary and the definition I found in Websters. I’m a fan of Eli Weisel’s writings and he quotes this often.
And the bonus of that shitty bit he pulled on that laid off guy was to see that he's a sawed off little runt , about 6" shorter than everybody else in the elevator. Short man syndrome helps explain the assholishness !
I don’t think what he did was banal. “Banality of evil” usually refers to bureaucrats mindlessly doing their jobs ignoring any evil that results from them. Publicly insulting somebody who’s just been fired is just downright evil. Nothing banal about it.
Jim Banks (R) from Indiana is an Ahole who tells his constituents that if they voted him into office, he will be transparent and will fight for the little guy…🤔. Sounds like he attended Trump University on a scholarship!
I don’t think he’s worried about getting primaried. Dude isn’t up for election for six years, by which time people will forget. He simply doesn’t care, and more importantly, neither do his voters.
Dim-Jim, is truly the boil on the butt of Indiana politics. The AG Rokita is the wart, and our governor is the swollen goiter, that needs flown from his private helipad(paid by tax payers) in Jasper, at thousands per day to Indianapolis because he didn't want to live in the mansion. All need excised
You have to think people see videos like that and the immediate reaction is that this wasn’t what any of us voted for. Something is completely off right now and regressing way too fast.
I liked that he was surrounded by his bully-boys. Every petty little loser has an entourage to protect them from reality. Biff Banks. Dudley Dursley Banks.
Another good one, but...I was always a little put off by the way he treated Richard Simmons...it always felt like latent homophobia to me. (I knew Simmons wasn't out and open, but c'mon lol.)

It’s a lot of religion in the name of Christianity for a hateful man.
FUCK JIM BANKS
and yet a brilliant choice. it's the banality that cloaks it.
