I agree with the spirit of your message but...The Chinese government and businesses with heavy ties to the CCP definitely have stolen ip. You have good takes usually but this was a thing that frequently happened. Spies have done hard time for it. It's public record not even a debate.

It's not like it's just China, either. Plenty of "knowledge work" has been offshored to India, the Philippines, etc. My own employer laid off an entire office, just to replace them with people in PH and Romania.
