I have many allergies I've developed or were ignored by my mother (think RFK style) when I was younger. In my adulthood, when tested for my very obvious strawberry allergy they told me it would be too dangerous to prove if it was pesticides or strawberries. Could be either, be vigilant!

Sorry! Not fair! I've had food sensitivities (a level down from allergies...but eczema and swelling starting on my eyelids is plenty bad enough) for ten + years. Had to get a new test last year. Now need to avoid almonds, cane sugar and BLUEBERRIES along with the original wheat, eggs and milk.

It can change.
I was horribly allergic to sulfates for years and then in my 30s the allergy disappeared and i could finally drink wine w/o going to the hospital.

Oh no! If it gives you hope, I became allergic to some fruits and veg in my 20s and then like 10 years later, was able to eat them again. Also, it was only raw? Like, fruit could go in the microwave for approx 20-30 seconds and be fine for me. So annoying and random though.

Funny story I had a colleague who was from Wisconsin once and at a staff gathering, we had to create our favorite dining pair and she choose some soup but with cheese curds as a side and beer as the drink 😂 it was the most Wisconsin shit we’d ever heard. Yeah, in my 30s I developed a co-allergy to stone fruit, including apples. It took a while to figure it all out. Apparently it’s a relatively common birch co-allergy. I can only eat about 3 cherries in any given day or I go a bit mental with weird itching and flushing. So disappointing.
