Election Twitter's entire game was making maps of districts and not believing that real people lived there or that the elections they were mapping had consequences, this went double for the European posters.

I mean, I enjoyed the maps and they were often interesting/informative! The second part is the problem. (That and the pretense that they're the only objective fact-based people because they do a lot of math and read a lot of polls)

Yeah as someone who was (and would gladly be again On Here) involved in those circles, tbh it disturbed me when I realized most of the people who stayed were election accounts/mappers

Makes me feel like they never took politics seriously and it's just a game to them
