Maybe the "wokes" were able to sense the Hitler Particles you were emitting.

For all the talk of populism, the GOP has not really shifted from its standard, "more money for us, fuck you" approach to policy making. Not really attempting to deliver anything to ordinary voters even as they torch state capacity and bumble into a recession.

Juan Linz was right

Predictable outcome of rationality becoming an identity rather than a mental frame/technique to train and induce.

To paraphrase @volts.wtf, rationality is a virtue worth cultivating, "rationalism" as a way of life is stupid and self-defeating because human beings are extremely good at justifying whatever is most convenient for them.

I am not a doomer; we can win in 2026 and 2028 and throw the bums out. But I suspect the damage to state capacity, to science/research/evaluation, to US credibility and standing is generational. I hope I am wrong but a lot of us will be picking up the pieces for the rest of our working lives.

The pause we announced has been paused. Tune in tomorrow for further instructions.

"What we are seeing is a purge—of the administrative state, of the universities, of expertise—that is consistent with events like the Cultural Revolution in China in the 1960s and ’70s, or the dismantling of the tsarist civil service after the Bolshevik Revolution" www.thenation.com/article/soci...

These are likely the 5 I will rank too. If one of them drops out I'll rank stringer I suppose.. The important thing is that I will rank all 5 I can and none of them will be Cuomo.

Also small plastic toys! Very important to onshore those.

This is so utterly incompetent that I cannot imagine voting for her in a primary.
