I never would have guessed we’re all walking faster now.
A lot of people are looking at their phones while they walk now

I've always figured its walking-time estimates are based on a crude average of American pedestrian speed ... and even amongst NYC folks *I'm* fast 😅 so I arrive in like 70-80% of when Google predicts
