Presidents have little control over lowering consumer prices besides making freer trade agreements which no country in their right mind would make with the US atm.

Tariffs could double the price of some goods by end of his term. This is going to get ugly.

I am a fan of history.
A stat that always gets me is that during the height of Watergate...Nixon still had something like a 20% Approval Rating and another 20% of America had no real opinion.
Next to Vietnam and the 1968 chaos...Watergate was huge and Nixon was found to be a monster. Amazing.
