I am shamelessly admitting I dont listen to tswift much so I unfortunately have to go with shake it off, weirdest celebrity crush might be 90s clea duvall from the faculty
Since this is ongoing I’m going to throw two options at you because being both bi and a switch I refuse to pick one thing and you can’t make me, you’re not my real dad
Whimsy and ethics with a hint of romance? You should watch Exit!, a 2019 South Korean movie about rock climbers surviving a bioterrorist attack … by climbing skyscrapers. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exit_(2019_film)
OK, two caveats: 1. I can’t guarantee what I’m suggesting is *good,* I watch a lot of trash, but it will be enjoyable. 2. I watched many of these a while ago and can’t provide accurate cw. Please do any needed research before viewing if needed
Forgotten and discarded, artistic greatness with an unexpected ending? 1977’s Tentacles. A failed attempt at capitalizing on the disaster movie boom, you think the only reason to watch is Shelley Winters - but then the Attack Orcas show up. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tentacles_(film)
That's twice in the last hour I've seen this film referenced; especially notable because just last night we watched The Visitor (1978) also with Huston & Winters, and attempting to capitalise on theological horror movies.
You’re here to have a fun & enjoy the work of an esteemed character actor. I want to say Cocaine Bear, but the real answer is The Core, a play on classic 1950s sci-fi with maybe the greatest cast of character actors of all time? (A personal fave, I still can’t believe Jon Rogers hasn’t blocked me)
"General Thomas Percell: What would it take to get it done in three months?
Dr. Ed 'Braz' Brazzelton: Fifty billion dollars, I...
[laughing]
General Thomas Percell: [deadpan] Will you take a cheque?
Dr. Josh Keyes: You should use a credit card. You get miles."
Both 2012’s Super Cyclone and Love Story have a fairly predictable narrative, with one or two good twists thrown in. And watching Ming-Na Wen fling herself about a set with abandon, giving it her all even if it’s beneath her? That’s an Aidy level dedication to comedy.
Woof. This pairing is a cold northern wind full of regret and sorrow, with incredible bone structure. That means Nordic disaster classic The Wave, which is about a Norwegian geologist trying to save his town from a tidal wave but also how the real disaster is work-life balance on a marriage.
