And this is why I rarely call the advice nurse. Their response 99% of the time is "Go to the ED" when I'm just trying to leave an urgent (but not emergent) message for my doc.

I was asked how long I've had the problem. Then I was told to come back in two weeks. After the umpteenth time, I waited two extra weeks and started then. I was told to come back in two weeks.

If I went back in two weeks I was told to try over the counter medicine for two weeks. I had been doing that the whole time. It took a lot of fighting and arguing to get a specialist who would start that process again or tell me it was stress.

I am at this point right now. I am on hospital watch. What does that mean? It means my PCP has ignored my test results with no follow up and I am in limbo land with potential pancreatitis a UTI - too sick to work. My head is completely messed up.
