She’s named in a May 1983 newspaper article about Return of the Jedi — which speculates these names “will surely be in toy shelves at christmas” — so if not named in the credits, maybe in a press kit?

The credits for ROTJ identify her by name. Any concurrent ROTJ adaptations at release- novel, comics, storybook, souvenir magazine, trading cards - would have used the name.

I 100% knew from the toy packaging saying it’s her name as a kid in 83 (or 84, whenever her figure came out, and even at that age I was a completist and had to have her delivering the attack plans to my rebel figures)

Huge missed opportunity not to put her deleted scenes back into the Revenge of the Sith re-release. Remember when Wedge got extra scenes in the special edition? I imagine her name is in the RotJ credits which probably pre-dates the toy release

No I mean Wedge. Wedge Antilles had two small scenes added to the end of return of the Jedi. He hugs luke in one scene that wasn’t in the original.
