I do feel bad for ordinary Americans, I really do. But evenly I do feel with increasing sincerity that the US is the Great Satan and it's dissolution will usher in a golden age for humanity

I do think the U.S. was in desperate need of a reset. The fact that we are even here says it all. I had always known there was hate in the country for any one who was different- I just never understood how deep it ran. Now we know. And that reality shows there is no quick fix to this…
Haven't thought too much through it but I think the evangelical church, especially prosperity gospel shit, is a culprit. I guess it all goes back to capitalism but having gone to many churches through the US and Canada, those churches are breeding grounds for assholes and right wing lunatics
I hate to disappoint you, but everyone that's bet against the USA has been disappointed. We've been in worse spots and more evil and have gotten out of it. It's not pretty but humans aren't pretty. We're the best looking horse in the glue factory.
Since the US is a melting pot of humans from everywhere else, because only Native Americans started here, it seems humanity is just as rotten as the US. When we fall, the oligarchs will move to the next country. People like them exist all over and they are never satisfied.
Yeah, I don't see it. Half or more of the rest of the world lives under a repressive religious government. Then there are dictators in 2 of the 3 remaining superpowers. Not seeing it.
What if - and hear me out - instead of being the greatest horsemen of their age, the warrior class of the coming era will be the people who can build, maintain, and drive the flyest 1990s era Japanese imports
I see the threats, "it will be a Chinese hegemony," as at worst a silver lining. Sure, I can see how as citizens of the fourth reich, that this could be bad for us specifically. But everyone else? Well...
This is cope. This is refusing to accept how uniquely awful the US has been for much of the world by assuming that everyone else would have been worse in your position. Stop it.
Amusing myself by imagining Trump suddenly revealing he's been a Maoist-Third Worldist this whole time and this has been his plan to bring about a global revolution
I'm hoping that out of the ashes will come nationalized healthcare and an actual living wage. But, so many are going to die in the interim, it's going to be a tragedy of historical proportions.
Now that we've destroyed all of our soft power and international relationships, I'm increasingly of the opinion that in many scenarios the average American will be better in whatever state takes over
Look at how many cancer cures are coming out at this moment of grand imperial collapse. Look at everything being developed at the end of IP. It's all looking up from here.
When we hear “great Satan” comparison we know which regime ones parroting. Nations of greatness ebb and flow while countries of control persecute their own people; refusing them the most basic of human rights.

I’d rather I don’t, but it feels like the world, and the American machine itself has marked me for it.
But a world without the military industrial complex, anymore? I wish I could see it.
Guess we’ll see how it all shakes out
