The Indy subreddit seems like it will ban X links but the Indiana subreddit continues to delete posts asking them to ban X links and banning the users that post them.

Yeah ymmv depending on the sub. Glad than so many are considering it, perhaps if enough of them do it then the userbase as a whole will shift even if the subs themselves do not.
