In 1933 many Germans were sounding warnings about Hitler, but they were drowned out by the Nazis.
Unlike the 1933 Germans, we in 2025 have the benefit of hindsight. We KNOW what happened when fascism took over in Europe. We cannot allow ourselves to be drowned out by MAGA.
Aliens are watching our society wondering how so many are so stupid. From fairy tales used to control lives (misinterpreted, or selectively interpreted) to idiots not understanding basic economics. Mind boggling.
Fascism is highly adaptable and parasitic by nature. Rather than forming its own core beliefs, fascism thrives by attaching itself to existing ideologies, values, or cultural beliefs. It hitchhikes on belief systems, gradually reshaping them to serve its ends.
This well meaning tweet is a perfect example of how GOP created narrative inflation was Biden's fault despite fact rest of world had same inflation experience post covid due to pent up demand, shattered supply lines & shuttered refineries. It has never been binary choice between democracy & economy.
Although hyperinflation as a phenomenon ended by 1924, Hitler and the Nazis continued to exploit fears of economic instability to manipulate public opinion. Promises of economic prosperity and the restoration of "Germany’s pride" became a key part of their rise to power.
But what do you do when both things are brought to you by the same oligarchs? And no matter who you vote for, you’re still just getting a figurehead that does their bidding?

History is like shampoo: The last step is always REPEAT.
Nazis.
Especially knowing the monster himself not only got away with it all, but will take over everything beautiful in our lives.
Especially our ability to feel safe, & worthy.
He makes everything dark.
