I’m not saying do or don’t donate, but Al Green’s district is fine. Good parts and bad parts like all of Houston. But, yeah he’s old. Like our last 2 presidents ☹️ He does seem to have better cognitive function though.

I'm sending money to Green *and* other Democrats because I can do both, & I want to reward Democrats who stand up and be counted. It's the best representation of my approval for what he did.

IDK, if I had any money to throw around I'd give it to mutual aid groups & anyone actually doing anything tangible to help people? Like I'm glad that he stood up but your $ could do a lot more as direct aid to folks getting hurt by all of this. Politicians don't need our $ rn, but you do you. 🤷‍♀️

I can sympathize with his desire to send donations to other Democrats in swing Districts who need the money for upcoming elections. But we must *also* send a clear signal to Dem leaders what we want elected officials to *do* right now. Supporting @algreen.house.gov does just that.

Green did what they *all* should be doing. And candidates in those Purple Districts should be standing arm-in-arm with him.

That's how you show commitment, and loyalty, and feality to the Constitution; not by sticking your hands in your pockets, sitting quietly, and demanding donations.

The real reason to not give Al Green money is that his leadership PAC contributes to mediocrities. If his leadership PAC were good it would be totally fine to give him money.
