"the Office assessed that the admissible evidence [post-immunity decision] was sufficient to obtain and sustain a conviction at trial” - All prosecutors assess that the evidence is sufficient to obtain and sustain a conviction at trial.
Because that would be just *so* *uncivil* and *partisan*, Chris! We have to be civil and bipartisan, especially when it causes measurable harm to the nation and humanity! /s🙄
Jack Smith and Judge Mehta seemed to always act to move as quick as possible, Trump always appealed to drag things out and SCOTUS enabled the slow walk.
Every Democratic official needs to go on television and say Donald Trump is a traitor to his country and belongs in jail. They need to say it every single day unit all the people listen.
Honestly, their unwillingness to do this 100% lost them the election. Trump didn't gain any new followers this time... he got the same votes he lost with in 2020. But Dems showed they're not willing to fight when it really matters, so the median voter saw no reason to support them.
They could have charged him day 1 with the 11 counts of obstruction and witness tampering that Barr spiked l, and done the whole investigation without him obstructing and tampering more.
