Further adventures in mayonnaise:
As a lifelong Hellmann's fellow (Best Foods, now that we live west of the Rockies), I wasn't all that enchanted by Kewpie, but I've just secured a jar of Duke's.
I'm...intrigued.
Not yet won over, but...intrigued.

I’ll be making it this morning!
In the States, there’s both imported Kewpie from .jp…and an imitation licensed to a US partner. I see the fake at my Safeway and Costco here in Seattle and the real in my bougie grocery.
The US version is blander and sweeter.

Goodness.
I have all three (Kewpie, Duke's and Hellman's) in my fridge.
I buy Kensington's when I feel fancy...
Not going back
It's nice to have a decent option besides Best Foods honestly
I am sort of annoyed/intrigued by a trend I've noticed where some restaurants try to pass off what is pretty much flavored mayo as "aioli." I am simultaneously thrilled when this fools foodie snobs who sniff dismissively at any form of mayo.
Would only eat Hellmann's...until I found Duke's on a shelf here in OH for the 1st time.
Liked what I found, so now I buy whichever is cheapest😜
(3rd generation of "ain't nobody died" from unrefrigerated Duke's)
