Reading liberals' replies to this, I continue to be flabbergasted at Dems' response to any attempt at improving their party.
Calling primaries treasonous, saying that running everywhere will "drain resources" rather than grow their base of support.
Just utterly baffling and backwards.

If you are a liberal in deep blue territory, one thing you could try doing right now is figuring out how to replace your Democratic member of Congress next year. With very few exceptions, the typical safe seat Dem is not meeting the moment. Find someone who will and help them.

Dismantling Obama's organizing coalition and Howard Dean's 50 state strategy was the work of the current Dem leadership, and they did it intentionally.
Engaging in action everywhere doesn't mean burning out, it means priming your base to continue to stay engaged, and Dem leadership HATES that.
Utterly bizarre that loyalists picked up on and share their desire to do nothing but depress energy.
