None. Geoff doesnβt have the courage to speak against any of the game executives that give him content for his self aggrandizing. It would be great if we had someone that was a champion for developers!
... At this point I'm gonna say almost all of the games we see tonight will have layoffs behind them one way or another. And I think the answer to your question is a big fat 0, unless someone really indie does a big coup. Real good question tho.
Maybe if the GOTY winner decides to make it the first sentence in their acceptance speech, getting it out there before the orchestra can react to play them off.
why would anyone talk about that? itβs more important that we learn about the latest cross-branded collaboration event that brings together Americaβs favourite shaving cream as a cosmetic to Fortnite, that will be available *right now* for gamers who scan this creator QR code to unlock exclusive rew
About -50% for actual acknowledgement, 1% on a single sentence halfway through during a twitch commercial break that conveniently scoots around the actual issue.
The Game Awards, an industry circlejerk of people Geoff and his massive ego want to hang out with, where they fellas themselves over the accomplishments and hard work of their employees, brought to you by *BRAND*, recognizing their own fuckups and the lives they ruined? Well... maybe?

Otherwise we will get 365 days of lay offs and crunch.
Seems clear that Geoff doesn't want to damage his reputation with major publishers in any way and won't do anything as a result
Hell, they might even talk about how GREAT everything is.
Never mind how those games got there
(In all seriousness, my hopes are not high.)
