When I watched Python as a child I found that woman on the left as much a part of Python as anyone else, certainly more familiar to me than Terry Gilliam. I wonder if she ever knew she was endlessly applauding absolute nonsense?
The Boomers are, as they say, like a “pig moving through a Python” distorting all culture. Millennials a back-to-normal distribution group. Gen X? A thinning of the population that expects to be overlooked, hence the shrugging, irony and bad posture.
It’s from Monty Py-THON. Every time something “good” happens, they’d splice in this bit of stock footage of women applauding. It makes up 95% of the on screen women in Python who aren’t Carol Cleveland or Eric Idle’s wife.
