Not to election 'splain to a whole 'nother country but don't they count to on day polling first and the early votes after so the first votes coming in are as republican heavy as they get?

Fun fact, you can confirm they received your ballot but they can still decide it is not valid and not count it (in Pennyslvania at least)
WOLRD'S BEST DEMOCRACY!!!
It depends on the state. I understand Florida starts counting early vote before election day, so they are able to report those results immediately, while still counting on-day voting. But Georgia does not count the early vote first.
Differs state by state because of course it does 😅
I'm under the impression that some states count the early votes as they come in, some count them on the day, some don't open them until after the polls have closed.
Its referred to as Red Mirage phenomenon. Republican votes also tend to get counted first, so that also skews people's perceptions. So unless there's an absolute majority already, calling any race is pointless.
