Aaron Dembski-Bowden’s great, recommend First Heretic and Betrayer. Also Peter Fehervari books, like Requiem Infernal. Day of Ascension’s also fun one I read recently, and Infinite and Divine.
I don't read Warhammer books but I know the feeling. If I put the book down I won't be able to sleep wondering what will happen, but if I finish the book I also won't be able to sleep because I'll be thinking about why I liked the book so much.
Eisenhorn and Ravenor omnibus, Fall of Cadia, Infinite and Divine, Watchers of the Throne & Regent's Shadow, and probably half the Horus Heresy books/most of Siege of Terra (Saturnine is the best 40k book IMO).
The Ravenor trilogy, Ravenor Returned (book 2) is one of my favourite pieces of 40K fiction, period
Other personal favourites include:
Double Eagle
Genefather
The Infinite and The Divine
Necropolis
The Gate of Bones
Praetorian of Dorn
All of Caiphas Cain

Maybe what I saw was for the paperback release? Idk, but in any case, I've got a new book to look into!
