if everyone collectively waits for things to change, nothing will.
Regarding tooling: there's always a tension between organising things where we would *want* people to be and doing it where they are.
There are ways of building institutions that have longer-lived capture resistance but that takes time.
but 2 things on this point:
1. he has 6000 LinkedIn followers and only 200 here so it seems understandable he would post there, and ATproto development shouldn't be gate kept to people who exclusively use ATproto platforms.
I believe it’s important to reach people where they are and we need more people and policy makers to know there are alternatives to the big platforms.
They never said the custodians would be custodians of the protocol, only custodians of the project & foundation.
