Huh... I genuinely never thought about that joke before. But yea too dark, honestly something more tone appropriate would be some like A rapture blade, like "Raptier" instead of A sharp tipped blade it has A veloptarapture head instead that bites the opponent. More fun and appropriate.
Looking for fun activity with the kids? Got lots of leftover rapiers? Mix 1 part flour with 2 parts water and a little bit of cornstarch, then 4 more parts boiling water. Let cool and combine with the swords for some diy rapier-mâché!
English is weird. Some words are just complete shit and need updating in order to stay relevant but people act like changing a word is an impossible task, as if language isn’t constantly evolving and shifting
Then we end up with words that just hit the eyes/ears wrong, to the benefit of nobody
Also explaining you want to make a joke but you're not going to make the joke, but wink wink we're still talking about the joke... that's just making the joke.
People are...not well adjusted if thats the purile joke thats beyond being haha he said weenie! they want to make. Its like Elon posting: I did Naz e that coming! After he "gave his heart out." Lame jokes are fine but dont be a pos.
If I could make a few suggestions;
Crepier wielded by a French baker.
Drapier and its curtains for you.
Frapier- sword favored by baristas.
Papier- the librarian’s best friend.
Trapier- when you need to set a trap?
Vapier used by the high elves.
Wrapier for when it’s swordmas.
Someone already intentionally misquoted Shakespeare on a show and the word swap wasn't funny then either. It went over so poorly I can't find it to reference it directly for how bad of a joke it was. That joke was retired the moment it was first spoken.
It's not a funny word. What's funny is the Gerard Thibault plates of Alexander clowning on Zachary with brutal over the top spin move executions; with a rapier. #HEMA
R word rapier jokes : done before, genuinely gross and unfunny. Block worthy.
Grapier or the much more pancakey version, Crepier jokes : Actually funny. Allows for silly stuff like the comic recently where he turned "whine" into "wine."

*In the Tim Burton movie, Jack Nicholson's pre-Joker character, not the comics character Joe Chill.
Asking for Paladin.. 😂❤️😂
But yeah "those" types of jokes aren't funny
espada ropera or DRESS SWORD
did i miss something when i learned the english language
It's a mangling of french, but even the french took it from spanish.
If espada ropera is too much a mouthful then "ra-pierre" should suffice.
