That's...weird? Alliance (the gaming arm of Diamond) still distributes WotC items. Checking Diamond's site, they have solicited everything released in 2025 from WotC, but none of them have shipped from Diamond itself...

Ryan ... I'm in the boat of pre-ordering all my MtG product from Alliance. There's a good chance they solicited all that product with the hope they could extend the contract OR that Universal (who has an agreement with WotC to distribute in Canada) would be able to iron things out.

WotC has the right to not send product to Alliance if they have no agreement in place. If Diamond/Alliance was (allegedly) lying to a potential suitor in a bankruptcy proceeding, why would they not lie to their customers to keep up the ruse? My suggestion?

If you don't already have an alternative WotC supplier, you might want to contact one TODAY as the Final Fantasy MtG order cutoff is 5/9. I'm looking at the possibility of having to refund preorders because of this, and I am not happy about it.

Doing the same, but I doubt the CSRs have any real information on this. It looks like the higher ups were banking on an extension that was never going to happen. I've had jobs where I've been in their position and they are typically the last to find out.

That was kinda my point but skeets are so limited in characters. They may have been just funneling it through Alliance but Alliance taking a cut as part of that (something, as separate corporate entities is typically a no-no).

Yep, all the WotC items ship from Alliance as normal as far as I can tell (if any game shops want to chime in?). Diamond's internal listings for the same items show as not yet shipped through Diamond.
