I think the most insulting thing is that the consultation hasn't actually closed yet. It's open to the 25th of February, and regardless whether the results are important to these newly announced plans, it pretty clearly signals what the response is going to be, even before it ends. 😤

Something I found out in my brief stint kn local politics is that is a genuine definition of the word "consultation" which means to just turn up and tell people what you’re going to do.
I was "consulted" many times.

Reminds me of the time hundreds thousands of germans signed a petition on change dot org against legislating ACTA - and the politicians just waved it off with "it's just bought bots that voted".
