Just reading what audibles the quarterbacks were calling. At times he was breaking down what Goff saw, what Goff was changing, and at one point he said something like “This looks like left run” and was spot on
I didn't listen to the commentary. Don't regret missing Tom Brady. He isn't great at commentary, and I'm really sick of the sports media pretending like he is. Leave it up to FOX to replace a great talent in Greg Olson for the more popular name. Tom really should just kick it back as an owner.
Another good moment was when he identified what Terrion Arnold did wrong on that fourth down conversion where he got sucked inside and Daniels got around him for the first down.
There certainly are a lot of Brady haters on this message board! Brady improved as a season went on and I thought he actually did a very good job last night but I would still prefer Greg Olsen.
Jury on TB is still out for me. I find his voice irritating. Admittedly a me problem. I also find his enthusiasm and knowledge infectious and interesting at times. We shall see.
In the course of just one season, his on-air voice has dropped almost an entire octave. No longer sounds like the High School kid next door calling a game.
Helps that the game was really the best of the playoffs so far.
People brush off the little things in football: get to the huddle, swap players off the field, call the play, get to the line. That was Brady's bread and butter, the announcer said Brady said it for 10 seconds, and Brady just brushed it off "ya, I saw him come on the field [and nobody leave after]"
His Awareness is why he went to 14 Conference Championship games. The 2nd place QB is a 3 way tie between Roger Staubach, Steve Young, and Joe Montana. They are tied at 7. It is noteworthy that he doubled this, because Montana, Staubach, and Young went to 9 SBs and won 7 combined, Brady - 10 won 7
I think in the beginning it was good insight, but now it’s just become annoying, useless information and cliches. I really hate all color commentary, it’s all become time-filler. I’d love to just not hear any color at all, just play by play and game sound.
He brings a bit of the player excitement to the screen and I know that's generally frowned upon, but it's a breath of fresh air.
He's hit the same rough spots as other former players have but he's adjusting and should turn out just fine.
I think he’s been picked on all season but has done a good job. Troy’s still the best but he’s been at it a long time now. Brady did well and very well last night.

Jealousy is a helluva drug
In a purely performance related note...

He must stop talking over the referees
He must stop droning on during important plays about things only he thinks are important
