I like how they avoid inserting common sense and fixing much of the garbage language around existing rules. Lost track of the number of games rules expert Gene Staratore? Was brought in only to look foolish as the replay booth ruled the reverse of the NFL's own rules. Numerous games.

I have yet to hear a viable argument for banning it. Pushing was illegal once before, but the league changed it because referees, in the moment, couldn't judge who was being pushed.

People only want it gone now because of subjective reasons; the Eagles are having too much success, apparently.

To me as an Eagles fan, going with the 2004 rule is the worst case scenario. What will be far worse than watching the play is watching a game decided because a ref mistakenly saw a teammate's hand touching a runner's back and threw a flag on 4th down.

It looks similar to a QB Sneak, a football play, with some additional muscle. There are teams that have stopped the Eagles from being able to execute it. Also, going back to the essence of football, if you don't want them to run it, maybe your defenses should stop them from getting that far. GOBIRDS

Every defense during that play does the exact same thing and push forward (unless you line up sideways like an idiot). I know the only difference for pushing is during punts and field goals. Essentially saying that the long snapper is defenseless.

Maybe I'm mistaken but I thought the rules prohibited the defense from lining up players behind each other to help push them through the line. So at the point of attack the defense is one man deep while the offense is at least three.

That actually sounds familiar and I would gladly concede my point of "Do better on defense" if any of the teams that are arguing for it to be banned would cite the rules where there is a disparity. But they don't. They say injuries and not a football play.
