Struggling to think of a single category of (non-criminal) American who would be as universally despised as a healthcare executive. Professional sports team owner?

That's a good one. Execs in other businesses designed to ruin people/the world are the only ones I can think of: tobacco, gambling, fossil fuels. But even the latter may have defenders among ordinary who work in the industry. Everyone who works in health care seems to despise insurance companies
i don't think anyone thinks bad owners deserve to be gunned down. forced to sell the team, sure, maybe like hit in the nuts or something, but largely unharmed
Yeah that's a good metric. Someone else brought up the Sacklers and I can see a lot of people cheering if something like this happened to one of them. Can't see that happening to even Dan Snyder. There would still be lots of people urging restraint
Yeah I was thinking about executives in other types of insurance, but they're still probably not as hated. Having your flood claim denied is bad but not equivalent to having a claim for your kid's life-saving operation denied
they will all get exec protect details and scrubbed details from the net and get together at retreats and blame the ungrateful poors and learning absolutely nothing
There's just no two words that belong together less than healthcare and executive. The whole situation explains itself in the title. We're going to be so embarrassed explaining to our grandchildren all these people we allowed to die.
Nah. Normies never think about political consultants. And lots of people have had to fight their health insurance company over a claim, or at least have had to deal with bullshit paperwork and the sense that they’re being tricked and exploited.
Are we talking in America or globally? 'cause for the latter, I think "Presidents" is in the running. Probably also CIA Director. Also just Kissinger, as a person.
Intellectually, people can understand that everyone is entitled to a strong defense. Emotionally, though, people tend to view those who provide such defense as equal to, or worse than, the people they're defending.
Republican member of and state or federal government entity
Can't include the Trump Administration as they are either all felons or headed for jail eventually
Stock traders aren't hated, as that isn't really a thing any more. Most people can trade on their own - and the majority of Americans do own stocks in some form.
Sure, but very few people have experience of themselves or their family members being in medical or financial peril because of sports team owners. Relatively many have that experience from health insurers, and understand that they may have it again.
Having worked both sides of the medical industry, as an insurance agent and as someone who argued with them to get medical care patients needed, I agree. When we got too many authorizations in a row, it seemed like suddenly the website had issues with our account, could days of being on hold to fix
Yeah its not great. But the despicability of paying a grown consenting man millions of dollars to wreck his body and become famous, against someone who lets a child die of cancer because they don't want to pay for diagnostic scans is another tier of monstrous.

Let us never confuse lawfulness with justice.
I prefer fair trials, but the CEO of the most notorious mass murder-for-cash scheme was never going to face one.
Not all, not all… yada yada.

Them, I fucking hate them.
