My @protectdemocracy.org colleague Grant Tudor and I praised Biden for ruling out a pardon for his son earlier this year. It is disheartening Biden did not keep his vow.

Comment on how the lunatic who’s about to take office will harass and go after Hunter just to be vengeful.
President Biden did the right thing
On the merits, this is the legit use of the pardon power since the prosecution of Hunter was definitely politically motivated.
Biden should be planning an escape for his whole family.
Kate said it best.

Joe Biden is a strong man who made a principled decision. The sick GOP is the entity that made it necessary.
Look at all the truly corrupt criminal people Trump pardoned!! E.g., Charles Kusherner, Steve Bannon, ... 143 in all!!
Strange world.
Fuck off with this bullshit.
If you were in Biden’s position, you’d have done the same thing.
Very likely Hunter would have faced additional charges that the special counsel already considered and ruled out.
He absolutely should’ve pardoned Hunter Biden. If his last name was any other name, he wouldn’t have gone through all of this. Now the Trump kids?? They should be investigated…
Fair is fair
We still hold the moral high ground.
There is no bottom for these sociopaths.
I, for one, wrote and called WH begging Pres Biden to pardon Hunter. Don’t be stubborn, bc you “gave your word as a Biden”, plz pardon your son.
Hunter was used as a political pawn. As such, a pardon is in line with ethical use of the pardon power
GOP in Congress and Trump admin would never quit with endless investigations and prosecutions against Hunter and Joe.
Complaining about this pardon shows you don’t understand this reality.
YUCK!
Had he stayed in and won I believe he would not have used that power. But now that he’s on his way out, let the family enjoy their remaining time.
But, right or wrong, that's not the standard used when it's your son.
