They should all also be updating their resumes... and I recommend using the words 'car maker' as the previous employer, instead of Tesla... just saying...
Typical oligarch behaviour. Sell off all the shares you can while the company is tanking but encourage shareholders to either keep their shares or buy more. That way the oligarchs can continue to profit while they dump shares. Ultimately it is the shareholder who is left holding the bag. Corruption!
There’s a whole Reddit thread of ex Elon Bros, who are doing their best to get rid of their Tesla stock. He’s made quite a few enemies of people who used to adore him. Quite the feat.
Look dump it fast. The brand is dead. And it probably won't be able to be resurrected for anything it forever will be associated with that nitwit. He killed the Tesla brand well and cars blow up and parts fall off and become missiles doesn't help. The rose colored glasses are gone
Also, remember that this last week Musk raised 1B in EQUITY funding for Twitter. He’s cutting funds off for baby mamas. He may be the richest man on paper, but how liquid. Last know public records showed <600M Twitter users, but he only has 220M followers? How many bot or alt accounts? How many USA?
I’m so sorry. I can’t imagine how that feels. I’ve been waiting 2 yrs to go before a judge to prove I’m disabled. I had a hearing this year lined up. If I won I would have enough $ to buy food but nothing else. Sadly with Dump, my chance of SSD may not be in my future. Sending hugs
Tesla employees don’t need to save Musks a**, they can save their own. People need to sink Musk and use their consumer power on the rest of the corrupt oligarchs.
You can do what you want, but Musk is destroying the brand and many of his board members are selling considerable amounts of TSLA. Tesla stock is still overvalued and over time I would think it will keep going down. Sell while you can.
Except that this isn't the case.
By far, insiders (board members, VPS, directors) are buying more stock than selling. I agree it's overpriced. (Has been for awhile.) The cult of Tesla hasn't broken for the faithful.
As of 2024, the largest shareholder is CEO Elon Musk, who holds 12.8% of Tesla equity. Besides Musk, the largest shareholders are asset managers, like BlackRock and Vanguard. Tesla.
I wonder if they expect the brand to bounce back after this hellscape or know the Musk will eventually be pushed out?
Can the faithful hold it up? musk has destroyed the brand - internationally. Plus - competition offering better products will negatively impact them as well.
I’m wouldn’t either. Let the Board and Execs get the most money out of the stocks before they plummet even more and leave the little guy holding the worthless bag of stocks. Typical oligarch move.
He is the only one keeping it a float. It would not surprise me that Elon Musk is paying money to representatives Congress people to buy his stock. How can a company with everything failing in your stock is gone up that's not possible that's not real. There needs to be an investigation.
It seems like working for him is like being in a cult. Hive mind like. He expects everyone to think the same and to care about what he cares about. Above all, he expects everyone to worship and adore him, yet he treats everyone like trash.
Is TESLA becoming ENRON II? TESLA Cyber trucks are being recalled. Democrats are losing money selling their TESLAs for political reasons. TESLA sales are dropping significantly. Will Musk be fired by the TESLA's Board of Directors?
Usually, if your employer puts a blackout period on selling stock and you sell they will get you for insider trading and fire you. Essentially what he has done, is tell employees he will fire them for selling stock. They have to choose the income or their morals.
Yep, you heard it... "Please hold on to stocks that are tanking faster than my approval rating so billionaires can get a little more money as they sell theirs."
He could have just said "Fk you ya dumb@$$ parasites, bring pain upon yourself for your betters."
He's about to become Jim Cramer...
Considering Cathie Wood is also saying to buy it, I've never seen a stronger argument to short.
I still wouldn't touch TSLA with a 10 foot pole. Sucks we can't get the Vanguard retirement funds to divest.
More direct answer is Vanguard is fine but I wish they had ideology based funds so their customers could vote with their dollar. Most people won't micromanage their investments as much as I do.
My retirement plan had a "social choice" ideology-based fund, but last I checked it was all Tesla and tech stocks. Funny that these used to be where progressives put money to avoid military, pollution, and greed, and they've all gone hard Nazi in six months.
That is exactly what I ran into with the ESG funds; it quickly included clean coal (which is... coal) and other buzzwords that were against why I wanted to invest in the fund in the first place.
An issue is that a huge number of people buy index funds so TSLA basically is a big percentage of the default option for the biggest accounts.
My pittance barely registers.
Socially responsible funds were meant to give people an option, but it warped. Vanguard should consider adding boycott funds.
He is a big cry baby. What’s happening to Tesla is just a spicy Boston tea party. If he wanted to be a business man, and successful, he would not have fuqued with Americans.
This slimy asshat is committing crime, yet again!
He knows these judges are our last line of defense, so he's using his power and money to rig another election. Please mobilize and spread awareness!
Wisconsin, let's vote and support Judge Crawford! @crawfordforwi.bsky.social
He is the tempter.
It's crazy, the good vs evil theme from his 1st presidency is back. He is buying Democracy for $100 from random citizens. They can bargain with themselves that taking the money is not a promise but when they vote it becomes, "what does it matter how I vote".
That's all it takes.
😄 he'll say anything for a buck. He's not giving you sound advice, because he doesn't care about you. Employees, do as you want, but you do realize you're on board a sinking ship, right?
it would seem silly to not sell when the board is selling, but....i wonder if some aspect of cultism goes into getting a job there anyway. read something about someone leaving after an elon "demon mode" but then came back because he didn't want a boring job...hrmm.
I had one that offered stock options as a way to get everyone to stay. The fact that they didn’t even have enough money to pay their suppliers told me to get out. They were bankrupt 3 months later.

This is another front where the resistance can play a role.
Halfway there. 📉

He’s literally begging his employees to help him protect his wealth. What a loser!

Because you know damn well he would be.
SELL YOUR TESLA STOCKS NOW!

He is trying to prevent the additional selling pressure that this would ignite.
He could have just said "Fk you ya dumb@$$ parasites, bring pain upon yourself for your betters."
After that it's " Fuck you, we got ours."
This is disturbing. An insurance law passed after 9/11 could allow Musk BILLIONS from the US government to rescue his company.

to save the company.
Tesla and Musk are synonymous with spontaneous combustion, not internal combustion
or reflection.
