This is great. Institutions need to lead the way on this - highlighting advances in science driven by federal money and crucially how they help everyone, including private sector biotech and pharma Cos as well as training next gen scientists

Can you help other scientists understand how to do this in their local communities? It would be a great way to keep momentum after @standupforscience.bsky.social (who to reach out to and what to ask for, talking points, making it personal, etc)
The American Institute for Economic Research, funded by a rightist intl. conglomerate and run by people without roots in this town, and housed in a secluded mansion up in the forest, had the audacity to call their bizarre pamphlet "Barrington Declaration". 💯 Strong agree. Some people legitimately don't understand or even know what's going on (especially when Republicans are "flooding the zone"). We need to help spread the word and provide information when we can.
