They really let someone who writes like a distracted 20-year-old lurking on 4 Chan publish an op ed in the Wall Street Journal just because he’s a billionaire.
Wow. He is such a ponderous, sophomoric thinker, who believes larding his wingnut conspiracy theories and rightwing fantasies with terms like "ancien regime" will make him seem more intelligent - when in fact they just reveal what an intellectual frat boy he really is. But also: profoundly dangerous
And the completely unaware irony of remarks like "Our ancien regime, like the aristocracy of pre-revolutionary France, thought the party would never end." When it is precisely he and his compatriots and cronies that most resemble that aristocracy.
I don't at all understand what he's even trying to say. He uses lots of big words trying to sound smart but there's no structure. It jumps from topic to topic without saying anything?
I'm sure future historians will be incredulous how strongly influenced by terrible Sci-fi these idiots were. If we still have historians in the future.
