Japanese JLPT is a nifty little site where you can practice hiragana, katakana and beginner vocabulary through quizzes.

I prefer the kana quizzes with vocabulary instead of individual characters because it teaches you words and helps you see the alphabet in context.

The is a free flashcard program which you'll either love or hate.

Anki is best when used to practice words you're learning, not teach you new info.
