Well, I worried it was silly to cook an entire Thanksgiving dinner for just the 3 of us this year, but I forgot I have a hungry teenager and almost all the leftovers are gone already 😳

My FIL has two brothers and tells a story about their mother coming home once and unpacking groceries to put away; she set a carton of milk on the counter and by the time she was ready to put it in the refrigerator it was empty
My parents had three teenage daughters and a preteen son at the same time. My mother said she always thought we ate a lot until we started inviting teenage boys over for dinner.
we took so many leftovers home and my sisters already ate them all and now im heavily considering getting a bunch of thanksgivings food on sale and cooking it all up so i can have some leftovers
I also cook the entire meal for just the 3 of us as if I was having 12 guests. We are scarfing leftovers and have turkey breasts sliced and frozen for quick meals. Plus cleanup was much easier without so many “helpers”

I don’t have any kids but husband and have made lots of “turkey for 2” dinners over the years. We always manage to go through a turkey. So many uses for leftover bird.
My wife and I are both on Ozempic and she still went all out. Made up a few plates and took them to the local homeless hangout. I still have a crapton of food left
