I am no good to anyone as a spiritually cauterized husk of myself. If I am left no choice but to become entombed within my own body to live by their rules, then existence is not necessarily resistance. Or if it is, I will have already ceased to exist at all.

My kid asked if anything could make me detransition. After some thought I told him that, if I or someone I loved would die if I didn't, then I would. But, I added, I would only be pretending, b/c changing my inside is as impossible as forgetting a colour after I've seen it.
