Thanks Tim. You and Clive are really good guys. We and Arsenal are lucky to have you. This manager and these players have done so much for our club. Physically and emotionally we are quite fragile at the moment and so many people seem to want us to fail. We've got to stick together.
This is such a good article Tim. I liked Declan rice's comment pointing that the real fans in the stadium cheered Havertz and Sterling while internet fans slag them. It feels to me like this is the Golden Era of Arsenal that I have been waiting for since 1970. Make Arteta the manager or life!
Not many teams could lose their best player and two attackers the quality of Jesus and Nwaneri and still put a team on the pitch capable of keeping them in the title hunt.
Nicely done! it’s good to have someone tell me the world according to arsenal is not ending, too much of that online. This is a version of what my older brother would say to me when we went to the footy in the 90s, not sure he was ever that profound though!
Brilliant 👏 The same, can't connect with all the anger/hate etc. We've had some bad decisions, not played well in some games but we are still with a chance of the league. Wouldn't write off coming back in the Carling Cup either, Newcastle might get twitchy if we score early
This piece does remind me of arguing quite swearily with someone that there's a reason why we sing "there's only one [insert name of player manager here]"
But you're a really good writer and this is a much better way of putting it all.
100% agreed, the overwhelming negativity recently is baffling. Not like we've been playing badly and getting soundly beaten, just missing a sharp edge in finishing our chances which can be attributed at least a little to fatigue. Which is a result of the injury problems. Great article as always Tim

Classy piece Tim. ‘…Arsenal probably aren’t going to be the ones to take advantage…’: is this line another human condition, ‘emotional protection’!? Tough ask, but not giving up on this season yet, which I’m sure you’re not either. ♥️
I thought the point you made at the end was very interesting. How much vitriol is squeezed out of impressionable young, male fans by people looking to make a quick buck. We've seen this happen for a while with the goofies on AFTV but it seems like it's reached a whole new level now
I’d say we are predictable rather than boring. There has been a ‘sameness’ about many of our performances and play progression in drawn games that may lead to frustration/‘boredom’ from those watching the same thing yield the same result ?
Completely agree, why can't we have discourse about his performance without always going to 'sack him'. The answer isn't always to get rid of someone just because you want to see some sort of changes.
It's comical..we haven't lost in the PL since November 2. We haven't lost in the PL since Odegaard came back. Draws? Sure. But supporters need to recognize the coaching job being done getting these results while suffering the worst injury situation in decades.
Living in the states I have no feel for the pulse of the English fans. Are Liverpool supporters shivering because their team is 1-2-1 in their last four?
Things beeing how it is now, it almost gets emotional reading others not being complete wankers and actually taking clear distance from the loud, far right. You helped me off twitter with your 'fuck musk' tweet, so you should know that even norwegians find solace in your writing!

Never catch on.

We’ve not had it this good (these past three years) since the early days of Arsene.
Yet there are a lot of people who simply cannot settle for less than a title.

I don’t get it. I really don’t. I never want to go back to that.
However it always goes to sack the manager. That’s when I ask Who can do better? Win it all for us? I never get a response
