Nice one Andrew, I still remember going up the steps to the old north bank and seeing that lovely green pitch, and my breath would stop as I took it all in, I still get the same feeling I did in the 60s though I share your regrets about the way the game has been mishandled by the suits
Likewise. My first match was in East Upper with my Mum, then I stopped going because of the hooliganism. But living in Monsell Road and seeing everyone going to the matches and hearing the crowd I had to go. The adrenaline as I walked up the North Bank steps to see the floodlit pitch…
I get it too even walking out of the Arsenal tune station I am like the 8 year old when I first went, kneeling behind the billboards as a junior gunner for £2 in 89 it'll never be the same but I assume it's the same for every generation
I keep coming back to the idea that as bad as this season has felt, we're only two points behind last season. Give us back 5 points from red cards and we'd actually be 3 points better than the best season we've had in 20 years. With all these injuries, don't think we'll get last season's finish tho
On a separate note, we need a new chant for Saka when he's back (we haven't had a catchy one since ESR left).
How about this (to the sound of Livin La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin):
Upside, inside out
Dribbling it like Saka
He'll push and pull you down
His name is Bukayo Saka
I feel sorry for Tomi - it must be really tough for him. However despite his talent his lack of availability means we shouldn't rely on him going forward. We need talented titanium players not talented brittle players which we are always waiting to overcome an injury. Same with Jesus sadly. Move on.

Cheesy, but might work
With a 3pm Saturday kickoff on the horizon this weekend, that’s just the reminder that we probably all need.
😁😁😁😁😁 Simply brilliant!
