Coastal Georgian. Have heard from some that Augusta lost a tremendous amount of its canopy in Hurricane Helene. Know Augusta (assuming N. Augusta, SC too) was hit hard. We had a good amnt of damage here & from around Metter up to Dublin thousands of trees were/are down along I-16 😭
Sorry to dampen your spirits but extra blooms are likely due to global warming. When a plant feels distress it goes into I overdrive to reproduce, hence an abundance of flowers.
