I'm on *following* , but sometimes I slide over to *discover* and there's posts from people I follow that I haven't seen for ages.
The Other Place was the same, don't know how the algorithm chooses these things.

The algorithm on Threads (before I ditched) was actually good at feeding me stuff I wanted to see but this one not so much. Tbf I have been engaging with US politics but I also engage with churches and poetry etc

Following is literally follows-only, but it's the reposts - some people repost a hell of a lot and it drowns the Following feed, and gives the impression it's become a random selection.

You can only turn it off globally, though - unfortunately no option yet to stop reposts by a single user.

Couldn't agree more. I came here to escape but sometimes feel everything has followed me! Went to bed last night determined to mute the politics follows but might just try muting words as don't want to miss other stuff from people I share interests with. Reposts are the worst I think.
