We pay a few % points less in taxes (unless you’re super rich then you pay a lot less) and get fuck all for it.

We're often, in Denmark, questioned about the high amount of taxes we pay, a little over half of what we make.
But we pay it gladly, most of us.
We don't need to worry if we have to go to the hospital, school is free and you even get paid to educate yourself. We pay it gladly.

I’d argue that, as a younger person it’s extraordinarily defeating to pay for things you can never use. Social security, school is out of control, healthcare out of control.

Their taxes for healthcare were less than premiums for my family BEFORE deductibles, etc.
Just science, education, security, law enforcement, roads, infrastructure... the list is HUGE.
