Because their rhetoric and tactics are designed to divide the poor and working class while the rhetoric coming from the bottom is in-fighting and uniting the wealthy. The tactic should be to refuse to fight, or help deprogram the right bottom, and to split the wealthy down the middle.
It's not even that at this point, because plenty of poor folks will defend billionaires to the death. It's information vs disinformation, but it's clear that many rich folks prefer the power that disinformation provides, hence the correlation.
I don't think it's rich v poor, I mean Bill and Melinda Gates against the poor? Good vs evil, since the beginning of time. You put bad people in power and they do bad things. no need to vilify the wealthy cuz Elon and Trump are awful.
Yes, you people have taught me, anyone who is not the 10% of the population, the alt-left ... is right wing ... and you know what ... I welcome them, as long as they come with common sense..
Overlook is a loaded word. You don’t defeat Hitler without allying with Stalin. Unfortunately, you can’t purity test survival. Maybe it’s not all or nothing yet, but it certainly seems like things are going that way. At that point, the number one concern is that our children survive and remain free.
Fun fact: Before Bill Clinton, those were the same.
When's the last time you heard a Democrat talk about the working *poor*, not the working *class*? When's the last time you heard *poverty* without the modifier "childhood?"
Except the Overton Window applied to the Dems and Repubs is Center-Right to Far-Right. I know what you're getting at, but the Dems are not really left.
Unfortunately not in the two-party system we have. As a professed Communist, how do you manage to operate as one? As a Wannabe Socialist myself, I'm not trying to be coy.

Left, meant to mean Communists, Anarchists, etc, are 100% for the poor and uplifting them.
Right, meant to mean neoliberals (Dems/GOP), fascists, etc, are 100% against the poor.
Economically, it's capitalist vs. working class.
Economic inequality hurts culturally marginalized people most and thus has a conservative effect.
Progressive talk means fuck all when it's economic dispair that prevents you from leaving domestic abuse.
A progressive facade does not change the effects of their policy. Neoliberalism is right wing.
For the left, they're the same thing. Social and economic inequality hurt the same people and are fought with the same means.

There's no such thing as economically right but progressive, maybe in terms of intention, but not in terms of outcome.
Economic right with a "progressive" facade, always ends up being just right wing with more euphemisms
