An attempted coup with no consequences. Not for the leader, not for the people who carried it out. They tried to violently overthrow the lawfully elected government and were given the green light.

That’s not something that happens in functional democracies.

I had friends scoff at me for YEARS to the point of yelling at me because I wouldn't forgive Obama for "looking forward not backward" at Bush torturers. It's one of the biggest failures that led us to this moment.
