We are being people first not weak.
Which is why we need to make sure there aren't adults telling children things that need to be adult only conversations. They are children and don't get
But they cannot be expected to have the responsibility of an adult either.
I'm not a parent but you can be calm and assured I'm very aware of that and very aware of how much better you know how to raise your kids and family than I ever could and I'm going to make your
The men have continued being men.
AI, specifically transformer models like GPT, can produce wildly different output from small changes in input. Especially if the "temperature" is zero, the AI will always generate the same text from the same input.
In fact, technically we do know how they work. We just don't know why.
Determinism doesn't make it not a black box. Calling something a black box simply means you don't know how it works (or why (or both)).
Dudes need to mind their own and cheer alongside women. This world has had queens for centuries. The caveman ugh needs to end
(not just w/ regards to this issue)
completely serious
the world barges in anyway
it is pesky like that
(I'm 75 and stopped trying to deal with the outside in 2013
I do not recommend it as a coping mechanism)
If you cut yourself with a knife, it's fine to complain about knife safety, but a stretch to ban all knives.
If you offend yourself with a ChatGPT, it's important to determine if you "put your hand on hot stove" or just acted like a normal human.
And yes, I do support rights for beings less fortunate than me. Unlike some.
Build our own robots?
It's not that they're wrong; yes, the AI recycles post-9/11 arguments, it has no real agency, yada yada.
But if horrible ideas are spread on a grand scale, people must be held accountable. Automatization is no excuse.
Sorry, could not resist.
I'll see myself out.
GPT is humanity's final unassisted invention. AI tandem is here to stay
I don't get the hype behind a gussied up LLM and I never will because even if it wasn't unethical, our society makes it less like humans because it can't think "impure" things.
Could you please be less sweeping in describing groups of people? You could say "some men" or "many men" or "these men."
You experienced some men doing this but why, then, blame all men? It's stereotyping people.
Seriously, if same was done to other identity groups, you'd likely object.
I am simply asking that people not stereotype groups, any groups, on the basis of actions by one or a few people.
I simply respectfully asked that people not stereotype groups, any groups, on the basis of actions by one or a few people.
you're exactly the type of man she's talking about because you feel the need to center yourself, your experiences, and your opinion, always
by the way, i'm a white, cishet man and i didn't feel targeted because i'm not a thin-skinned baby
These whiny and insecure man children are exhausting.
I am simply asking that people not stereotype groups, any groups, on the basis of actions by one or a few people.
It's a reasonable point and request to make. It should apply to all.
maybe when a bunch of people agree that you're being a dick, you should take a moment to reflect on your behavior and consider if you are, in fact, being a dick?
You're the one lying and hurling insults in defense of stereotyping. You seem incapable of making a reasoned or even polite case for it, though.
Maybe you are a teen. Sounds like.
i'm a grown adult with a full-time job, you're the one throwing a petulant temper tantrum and refusing to reflect on your behavior
I am simply asking that people not stereotype groups, any groups, on the basis of actions by one or a few people.
"Not all
this isn't the same as a white person making generalizations about Black people, you're not oppressed, you're just digging a deeper hole for yourself
1) This was a respectful request not to stereotype groups, any groups, on the basis of actions by one or a few people.
2) The request was made of a famous influencer.
3) My logic is the same as stated, better, by Dr Kendi, attached. Adding for any immutable identity trait.
"Not all
That argument seeks, but fails, to legitimize stereotyping people. It has a Jr High sound to it.
Notice how no-one elaborates on that argument, in any sensible way. Mainly, it's insults.
Stereotyping is a core practice of racists and sexists. It's indispensable to their prejudice.
6) It's easy to avoid with qualifiers and more descriptive language. Ex: "Some", "too many", "Republicans", "knuckle draggers." Also, less boring!
- Many liberals and progressives use it.
- People can hear you.
- Many people w/the diss'ed traits do not see stereotyping language as reasonable.
- They are less likely to vote with people who talk of them so.
