"I don't care about you, I just need your vote" something along these lines were said and it did not matter. Allegiance and vengeance go a longgggg way and take precedence over policy and planning
Sure, but it's the party responsibility to education their citizens. Democrats went for immigration and trying to get republicans/moderates to vote for them. Instead of progressive policies, healthcare, shopping genocide, etc. They were instead saying to tighten borders, fight crime. Rep do it more.
No. Fuck this. As citizens, it is OUR duty to keep informed. Lead the horse to water, if it refuses to drink, that's the horse's fault. "What's a tarrif", "wait, WE pay the tarrifs?", "what do you mean Obamacare and ACA are the same?" - these are just a few, and AFTER the election FFS.
The republicans were gladly educating, quite publicly, their terrible views on fellow Americans and how they plan to treat them. I don't care if the democrats literally did no debates or rallies, this was a no-brainer.
Then it makes their loss even worse. If it was no brainer, Democrats failed miserably to use it. I don't think the path to victory goes through criticising voters. Democrats need a change of direction from Liberal capitalists to progressive social Democrats. Don't make voters defensive, educate
I agree. I think the worst part is that so many wannabe idealist progressives didn't KNOW how bad Trump was. They just wanted Kamala to be perfect or they weren't voting for her. They needed to be educated, yes... but in this case, on how terrible the other side WAS by comparison.
And the only reason I say this is because Kamala is a relatively normal politician and person and more Left-Wing than Biden. She can be swayed to do more or change her policies in positive ways. Trump is NOT. He only changes things when they benefit him or his image.
