I used to do this all the time! So silly! Now I gotta pass it along to my kids... except I don't think it'll starve, I think it'll eat so much it pops like a tick
I accidentally said "blow me" instead of "bite me" while quoting a funny movie we had watched together, and she gently corrected me and I wanted to die so badly.
the proper form where i was from was like
*hold out hand, wiggle fingers*
"know what this is?"
"what"
"a brain eater"
*put hand on victim's head*
"know what this is?"
"what??"
"a starving brain eater"
My brother did that to me in 1986 or 87. God I’m old. This feels like that time they input the wrong decade when I was buying beer but I still qualified. Ruined my day.
I can relate *stares stoically into the distance, takes a long drag on my wildberry bubblegum vape* it was '92 and I two was playing Nintendo. I was so shocked that Mario fell into a pit...it was my last free guy...and I was brainless...*sobs*
I once told my very young nephew that he used to have a younger sibling, but a tentacle came out of our unkempt, murky above-ground pool and dragged them in
didn’t all kids sit on the floor staring at a blank TV screen with the controller in their hand and no cartridge in the console every once in a while? 🤧
I got a mix as a kid, there were those who said video games were rotting my brain, but I actually had a few people tell my parents that the games were helping me with my reading and also helping me focus.
My mom use to pull that with my brother and I, except after we ran away screaming from the brain eater and she finally caught us, it would die a dramatic wailing death due to hunger. It was great 🤣
Are you suggesting you were traumatised by this? It can depend on cultural context, but in the UK this kind of teasing is generally meant as a sign of affection.
I don’t think they are trying to indicate that but I could be wrong.
Honestly the only context I have always experienced it in was alcoholic assholes but the act was originally was supposed to be friendly teasing.
