Wait, I missed this whole conversation. I LOVED my English classes. I overdid it with my paper on the book I was reading once, and my teacher told me to stay within the writing guidelines - I made the margins .5 and only 1.5 spaced lol. I really enjoyed the books.

Exactly! The last straw for me was a post that the DOE should be shutdown because they themselves didn’t understand a second grade math problem and they felt the teacher was wrong. The teacher was right by the way, as I’ve taught that same lesson. I just couldn’t take it anymore.
