I think since my wife is showing up midday, I’m going to try to go to the cloisters in the afternoon, after she arrives. Then to the actual Met and the costume institute on Monday.
I adore the Met. I grew up loving The Mixed Up Files of Mrs Basil E Frankenweiler and when I saw it for the first time it was entirely magical. What a lovely way to spend your birthday.
