For no reason other than I keep thinking of elements of the game I no longer enjoy, here’s the start of an ever expanding list of things I dislike about football.

Typically posting incendiary stuff and reacting to every minor setback as if the world has been given a 3 minute warning.
Aggressive, nasty, deeply unpleasant. It’s no longer extended pub conversations online, it’s just bile.
What used to be an exciting reveal of some bloke who’d sign out of nowhere. First thing you know was him holding the scarf over his head.
Now it’s tracking flights & stalking training grounds to see a player who’s been linked for 2 months.
There are now documentaries about football club owners, directors of football, benign office staff, car park attendants.
The idea you need to know anything beyond who’s on the grass is odd to me.
Why do we care about grey money men?
Shuffle it along the backline. Pass to a midfielder who turns, realises he has nowhere to go, before passing it back to the defender. The cycle repeats itself until we all expire from boredom.
Give me a weird mishmash of stands or huge Victorian style stands.
Nowadays they all look the same and that’s just a big shame.
