has anyone figured out a nightlight that’s truly dim and soft?
LED nightlights are an abomination

the nightlight is for the dog so i don’t want anything risky
BUT: I hate that manufacturers use the cheapest possible circuit which means they blink 60 times a second which I suspect our brains don't like.
masking tape is safe?
Now our night light is more by accident: the power strip I use has an LED in it’s on switch. I’ve 3D printed a cap for that with a wall thickness designed to only let minimal light through.
We have a squishy vinyl kid’s nightlight from IKEA and it’s inoffensive for sleeping, but it’s a true light. The outlet plate is far dimmer.
My SO prefers the LED one; I like darkness or yellow light… those fake candles that u put batteries in gives a soft flickering dim light. My sister gifted us a set a while ago from Bed Bath & Beyond
can’t do the flickering, it’ll def mess with my sleep, but you’re right about the light level 🤔
you can find it on amazon too if you want.
i want an incredibly little amount of light

Since they glow through wax, they make for really nice light
