Did you even look into the ceasefire's terms? Hamas is refusing to extend phase 1 of the ceasefire because they want to move on to phase 2 negotiations, as per the ceasefire's terms, the phase around ending the war. The Israeli gvt is refusing to move to that phase bc they want to continue the war.
Hamas has REPEATEDLY violated the ceasefire. Including the ceasefire that was in place on Oct 6. They’ve repeatedly said they won’t release any more hostages. And this war they started went on every single day that they refused to surrender and return the hostages.
Not this ceasefire - the one that started in January - they haven't. Even the Israeli government isn't claiming they repeatedly violated it. The only violation on Hamas' side was the mixup with Shiri Bibas' body that they corrected right away. Israel OTOH didn't deliver aid they agreed to, killed...
... and now of course they're blocking aid altogether, which goes beyond violating the ceasefire into violating international humanitarian law, as I was saying.
